Prestwick Golf Club has the honor of hosting the first British Open in 1860. The layout has not changed much over the years, with undulations, deep bunkers and blind shots testing the golfer.
Turnberry Course
Turnberry has hosted many British Opens, and recent work has brought more character and more holes closer to the sea. The iconic lighthouse on the 9th also serves as the halfway house.
Dundonald Links
Dundonald Links opened in 2005 and was designed by Kyle Phillips. The course features friendly fairways and bunkers, but gorse and burns still punish the wilder shots.
